Pastoral Care [Briarwood's member care ministry] assists the shepherding ministry of Briarwood by supporting and caring for members and friends of the church especially in times of sickness, infirmity, disability, bereavement or family crisis.

 And the King will answer them, "Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me" [Matthew 25:40].

Pastoral Care is led by Dr. G. Mark Cushman. He helps church leaders and staff engage in ministry to members who have special needs or are in crisis. He is assisted by two specially trained teams of men and women lay volunteers. They visit hospitals, care for widows and widowers, and serve homebound members of the church.
