A Letter From Pastor Reeder

Dear Friends,

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
I am grateful for the Lord's providence in allowing me to speak to you
through this website and I am also excited about what the Lord is doing
in your life. At Briarwood our desire is to be a gospel driven and
Christ centered church with an unalterable commitment to fulfilling our
Lord's Great Commission as He allows us to be engaged in "making
disciples of all the nations." But, our very first passion is that men
and women might know the glory, majesty and grace of the Lord Jesus
through a personal relationship with Him as Lord and Savior.

Consistently, Christ would issue a commanding invitation - "Come, follow
me." His Good News message was that all who come and follow Him will be
saved by His grace, will grow in His grace and have the enormous
privilege of living for the glory of His grace. To all who come to
Christ He will never leave you nor forsake you. He will save you from
your sins because He has paid for each and every one of them on the
cross and when we falter He will persistently, powerfully, patiently and
personally renew us, forgive us, and grow us day by day.

One of the ways God's grace comes to His people so that they can grow is
through the ministry of prayer and the Word. These are the two pillars
upon which Briarwood has and continues to build her ministry for Christ
our Lord. Secondly is to implement those "means" that He has ordained in
His Word and promised to use in the lives of His people so that as we
are saved by grace we can also be transformed by His grace. Therefore,
please know that our desire is to humbly yet boldly preach His Word from
our pulpit, in our congregational community Sunday School classes and in
our small group discipleship ministry. We want to teach and facilitate
intercessory prayer throughout the entire membership of our congregation
while promoting intimate fellowship as we enjoy the benefits and
blessings of loving one another as Christ has loved us. Our desire is
that Briarwood would be an instrument in the Hands of God to develop
spiritually and vital healthy Christians, families and followers of
Christ.

To do this, we have put in place a spiritual fitness plan of Christ
centered disciple making that is desired to produce W.E.L.L. Christians.

     • W. worship: our ministry of upreach to God
     • E.  evangelism: our ministry of outreach to the world
     • L.  love: our ministry inreach to one another
     • L.  learning: our ministry of downreach to ourselves

Pray for us to be faithful to our Lord Jesus Christ to glorify the
father and be surrender to the power of the Holy Spirit. Please join us
whenever you can. We love to have visitors! Will you please let us know
if we can assist you in making a personal commitment to Christ as Lord
and Savior, to trust Him and follow Him? Also, please let us know if we
can assist you in any way as you "grow in the grace and knowledge of
Christ."

For Christ, the Gospel and His Church,
